Friday Focus Clinics
An In-depth Training Event
Our instructional staff is comprised of current and former Triple-A professional umpires, current and former NCAA postseason umpires, and leaders in the umpiring community.
Upon acceptance of your registration, the agenda/location and any other clinic information (when confirmed) is sent by email. Schedules are subject to change.
Currently, the clinic begins at 9:00 am and concludes by 4:00 pm.
Friday, December 13 | Only 30 Spots Available
One day focus clinic designed to “laser focus” your plate game.
Clinic is limited to 30 spots and is open to any level of umpire.
This is an in-depth training event specifically targeting calling pitches. Are you employing “The 4 Ts” in your plate work? Targeting, Tracking, Timing, and Troubleshooting … you will learn how to target your body, work on the fundamentals (tracking & timing), and what to do when “squeezed.”
In addition, we will use technology to help you calibrate your zone to be at its optimum. This is a unique event helping the umpire identify their weaknesses, receive guidance on not only how to correct, but more importantly, how-to self-correct on the fly during a game when it matters.
Location & Time
The clinic is held in an indoor facility in the Northern Virginia area. Registered umpires will be provided location once their registration is approved. The clinic begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 4:00 pm (with a break for lunch).
Clinic tuition for each day is $75. Space is limited, only 30 spots available for each clinic. All registrations are subject to approval. Registration closes on December 12 or when the capacity for the clinic is filled. Register Today!
This umpire development opportunity is a program by Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Umpires.
