Optional Evaluations on October 7
Attendees of this camp are offered an optional additional training day of live game evaluations on October 7. Attendance on October 7 is not required to participate in this clinic but is a great way to reinforce clinic instruction.
This camp offers innovative instruction preparing umpires to work all levels of NCAA and NJCAA baseball. We believe in an intense and professional approach to the instruction of three-man umpire mechanics with an emphasis on plate and base work augmented by live game evaluation, on-field drills, and instruction.
Program of Instruction
Instruction includes comprehensive classroom discussion of mechanics and techniques, NCAA Rules and CCA Mechanics, The Strike Zone, Handling Situations, Communication, Philosophy of Plate and Base Work, and Field Work and Drills.
Special Guest Instructors
Don Umland, NCAA Division III National Coordinator is planning to attend this clinic. Also, Bill McCallum, NCAA Divison I Regional Advisor/Evaluator is planning on attending as well.
